As of October 25th we officially became a family ... all six of us! Now we are preparing to go Alfred. It has been such a long ride (3 1/2 years) and now its time. The only thing I can compare it to is a wedding day or the birth of your first child. You can prepare and prepare and prepare - but you really don't have an idea of what you are doing or what to expect until it happens. You just have to step in and get caught up in it.
That's where we are ... the bring it on phase ... where we are altogether excited, scared, and nervous.
We know that there will be big challenges ahead. We also are realizing that we really have no clue what we have jumped into. Honestly, the only thing I can tell you is that our family has been called to this (not because we are super anything but just because) and the God who has called will be faithful to lead. Trusting - Learning - Leaning.
